What does being a woman mean to you? I think we will all come up with different answers when asked this question.
If you had asked me this question 10 years ago I would say being a woman means being a wife. Being someone who does what her husband wants. Staying at home and depending on my husbands wants and needs. And yes putting them before what I want and need.
Ask me that now. I will say being a woman means I am grown up. I am independent. I still love and adore my husband as he does me. But I can also have an opinion. I don’t have to ask for permission.
Being a woman simply means I am no longer a child.
It is still alright to consider each others feelings, as long as you are getting the same consideration in return. In my opinion.
Maybe you aren’t married, or don’t have a significant other in your life. How would you define who you are? Should we even try to define the term “woman” or should we not even count that as a factor?
Maybe we should just learn who we are and define ourselves by that.
Because we need to know. If we don’t tell another person, we need to know and be who we are so we can be happy.
