Using Make up Brushes

Using Make up Brushes

I was probably about 12 when I received my first set of eye shadow.  I didn’t have Google or You Tube to teach me how to put this eye shadow on.  Everything I learned was by doing.  From the first swipe of the eye shadow brush to the first lipstick I applied to my lips, it was all trial and error.

I did a decent job, of course this was the 1980s and almost anything went at that time!

I have came a long way and have learned a couple things.  1.  Less is more.  2.  Blend!

That is when makeup brushes started coming into my life.  I am lucky that I have had the chance to try out a few sets of brushes along my way.  My most recent set of makeup brushes is a set from Beauty Lally.  This is a 10 piece makeup brush set.  It comes in a nice canister that I can store them in when I am not using them and one that looks nice on my make up table.  It is also convenient to throw the canister in my suitcase when I am going on a trip and not have to worry about losing brushes out or getting make up on my packed clothes.

Beauty Lally even includes a cute little compact mirror you can throw in your purse.

In this case you will find the following 10 brushes:

Shimmer Brush

Makeup Brush

Blush and Bronzer Brush

Flat Foundation Brush

Powder Brush

Eye shadow Blur Brush

Eye Shadow Brush

Concealer Brush

Lips Brush

Do I know how to use all these brushes?  Truthfully?  No.  But I do have them now and like the little girl at the age of 12, I will learn what each does by trial and error.  Beauty Lally makes it easy figuring it all out by supplying this chart.

I can tell you that these are soft brushes that are made well.  They are good for creams or powders..  They are made of highest quality synthetic hair –  I haven’t experienced losing any of the brushes while applying makeup.  I have also found out they are easy to wash out with soap and water.

I have seen make up brushes really expensive.  You can get this whole set:  10 brushes, canister and compact mirror for $25.00 on Amazon.  In my opinion it is worth that price.  I have had this set for a couple weeks now and so far so good!
