Coffee, tea or more coffee? I am a coffee person myself, but I tend to have times I like a good cup of tea. Especially chai! Can I get a Mmmm?
I know there is several benefits to drinking hot tea. I tell myself a lot of times I am going to replace at least one cup of coffee a day with green tea or some other tea that will give me positive health benefits. The chance dropped into my lap one day. Being a procrastinator, I put things off until it can’t be put off anymore. So switching to that 1 cup of tea a day wasn’t happening fast. Until I received a detox tea to review.
I have been feeling bloated lately and just kind of tired and down. I thought this might be what I needed. The Young Leaf Natural Wellness offered to send me their 14 day organic detox tea. The health benefits of drinking this tea was the following:
Cleanse your body, Detoxify, and Lose Weight Safely with all natural support:
• Increase Metabolism
• Suppress Appetite
• Improve Digestion
• Eliminate Buildup Of Toxins
• Anti-Oxidant Properties
• Natural Energy Boost
• Improve Immune Function
• Improve Circulation
All of the above was something I needed in my life.
Since this is loose leaf tea, you will need your own tea diffuser. If you don’t have one you can soak the leaves and then strain them out before drinking. Diffusers are cheap and can be found available at most places. We have a couple ourselves.
At first opening I noticed the Zip lock seal on the bag. I liked that! It makes it easier IMHO.
The next thing I do is smell mine. When you stick your nose in this bag, you will smell a refreshing strong spearmint. I compared it to when I was younger and would get into my Mom’s purse on Sunday Mornings. Her purse always smelled like Wrigley’s Spearmint gum. That is where the smell of this bag of loose detox tea took me. A good trigger!
All you need to do is use one tablespoon in your diffuser. Immerse in boiling water. 5-7 minutes is suggested. It depends how strong you want your tea.
When you taste it as is it is going to be the taste of spearmint infused with a strong lemon flavor. I chose to add honey to mine. I like mine sweeter. The taste of those 3 things infused together was a treat!
The main thing I wanted to find out about the tea was if it really did provide the benefits it claimed. After drinking a cup a day for about a week, I did notice a more natural energy- less fatigue during the day. I don’t feel as bloated. I have also noticed a decrease in headaches.
My opinion of this tea is that it is worth a try. It is organic, natural and worth the try!
