The big day is almost here. My wish for everyone reading this is that they will be surrounded with people that love them and has a nice dinner to share with those people. Today my sister and I tackled going out to Krogers so we could pick up last minute items before the big day. It seems like we are all set or at least we think we have everything we need. Thankfully we don’t have far to travel. I hope everyone traveling tonight stays safe. I know tonight John & I decided to have supper out and the traffic was backed up on the interstate due to 3 different accidents. So sad.
For myself, as I had said before, the holidays do bring a lot of stress along with them for me. I can’t pinpoint one certain reason. When I am stressing I step back and look at the big picture, I begin to see things that isn’t so clear during say April or May when nothing “Big” is happening. It is a time of reflecting. Have I been a perfect wife, sister, daughter, aunt or friend? No. Will I ever be perfect. No, probably not. Do I expect the people in my circle to be perfect. By no means do I expect that. Now here is the question. Do I respect people. YES. Am I respected in return. Sadly no. The only person that can change that is me though and while I quit making New years resolutions a long time ago (getting ahead of myself now). I am making a promise to myself that I will eliminate those people that brings me down. I hope everyone reading this does the same. None of us deserves to be looked down on. Taken for granted. Ignored. Just had to get that out there, nicely.
I didn’t mean to make this posting depressing on what is meant to be a happy day or the day before the Happy Day. I sincerely hope that you all have a great day. If you are reading this I would love to hear how your day went! I am just an email away! Tabby@shoppingwives.com
