One of my fondest memories is watching my Mom doing crafts. She was one that could look at a picture and then make it. Give her instructions and chances are she wouldn’t do it. Same with a recipe. Give her a recipe and it would be a whole different one by the time she was done with it.
I always had the desire to do crafts, but was never able to get pass making a crooked chain when it came to crocheting. I did one time make flamingo coasters out of canvas and yarn.
I have accepted the fact that I will never be like my Mom. But when I see a craft that she might of done, I think of her.
Maybe that is why I thought a small bag from Sarah & Victoria was so cute. The Happy Owl crocheted handbag, would be cute for a younger child. When I seen it, I thought it would also be perfect to put in my purse to add smaller items in so I don’t lose them. I can throw my lipstick in there. I can put earrings or necklaces that I unexpectedly had to take off. It is also great to throw receipts, coupons and a variety of other things in.
I personally think the colors are cheerful and go well together. It seems to be made really well. While it has no snaps and zippers and some may say simple. It is also nice to look at. Especially the front where you see the owls face.
The back is just simple.
If you do decide to give it to the little girl in your life, I am sure she will love it. Especially the little straps that would be perfect for small hands.
