My days have been consumed with the new member of our family. Max. Yes, I do talk a lot about him. I have noticed his face is mainly what I see when I go to instagram. He fills my day with laughter, frustration, but most importantly unconditional love.
This week the days have been kind of quiet. Max has left for his residency at obedience training. While I hated to leave him, I knew it was something that had to be done. As sweet as he is, he can be just as naughty. He knows very well what we are telling him, but sometimes his hard headed ways gets the best of him. We will find out next Saturday if he is coming home, or has to stay another week. Either way I think this will not only help him to listen to us, but for us to understand him.
One thing about Max that I learned shortly after getting him, was that when it came to food, he knew what he liked. And what he didn’t. We bought him 3 types of dry food before we found the kind he enjoyed. We did the same with canned food. If he didn’t like it, he refused to eat it.
That is why I was kind of scared to commit to doing any reviews on Dog treats or Food for Max. I decided however if Max tried something and liked it, it would sure make for a awesome review. If Max tried it and didn’t like it, I would call my back up dogs. Cleo, which is now with my niece. Or my step dads dog Peeka.
When the opportunity came along for Max and I to try out Stewart® Pro-Treat® Freeze Dried Liver Treats, I decided to do this review. I did it mainly because they seemed like they would be good for Max. These treats are:
I can only vouch for one flavor since I was sent only the pork liver. But what I can say is that Max LOVED them! I was very surprised at this. As you can see in the above picture, they are just small chopped up pieces and really very light. When I first opened them up I figured I was going to be wasting my time. But the opposite happened. Once he started getting these treats, he flat out refused his normal snacks.
I believe these will be something we will buy for Max in the future.
They are available for purchase at most Petsmart & PetCo stores as well as online. You can go here and enter your zipcode to find out more about where to find them close to you.
