That is what the kids were yelling around here only a few weeks ago!
But everybody knows that even as the kids was singing this annoying little tune, you mom, were secretly marking your calendars and counting down the days until school started again.
Now back to school is getting closer it is time to face another task we must do. That task is back to school shopping. Oh the joy!
Remember: It is never too early to start! Sure we don’t know what will be on that dreaded teacher list this year. But we can start with the basics.
Some of the simplest things to find now is going to be the hardest things to find when everyone is racing to the store the day before school starts. You can find most of these things at places like Dollar Tree or Dollar General stores. Okay, maybe you want Elmer’s Glue and Crayola Crayons. But paper is paper and the same with folders.
I know there will soon be back to school sales starting and you might want to wait for those. Go for it! My suggestion would be to wait until school has done started and wait for all the overstock to get marked down 75% and then stock up for next year.
I can just about guarantee that this basic stuff is going to be the easiest part of the school list and so you are going to want to save every penny you can. Especially when the kids come in from school with a list saying they need index cards, Kleenex for the whole class and a bag of Smarties.
1. Shopping for the basics early
2. Shopping for the basics at the cheapest places
3. Stocking up more at the After back to School Clearance Sales
Will end up saving you time, money and perhaps your sanity!
You do the math!
When do you start your back to school Shopping?
