One thing I would suggest everybody should own, in my opinion, is a sewing kit. You just never know when you are going to need it. Maybe it isn’t something you will use everyday, but it is something that when you do need it, you are glad you have it.
I did carry a smaller one in my purse. Our pipes had busted and we were without water at the house, we packed up Foxy and went to a hotel. Since this wasn’t a planned trip, we didn’t pack much, just what we needed. I threw Foxy’s favorite stuffed dog in the case and off we went.
That night in the room we noticed the leg coming off the stuffed dog. I took out the small kit I had and realized there was one needle in there. The eye was so small it was barely threadable. There was only a couple colors of thread and it wasn’t the color I would’ve chose.
The leg was sewed back on, but we knew that night we would be finding a proper sewing kit.
After I came home I happened to see a kit that the joy of online marketing was wanting bloggers to review. It looked nice. After talking to them I had one coming my way.
This is the Quick Stich Kit. In this nice case you will find:
• 24 Stainless Steel Needles of Various Sizes Contained In A Protective Plastic Case
• 12 Spools of Assorted Popular Colors of Thread
• A Pair of Stainless Steel Scissors
• A Seam Ripper with Plastic Cover
• Two Needle Threaders
• Tape Measure
• Straight Pins
• Safety Pins
I really loved the attractive case this came in. The needles are perfect, no matter what size you need. The variety of thread is amazing and it even has a threader. All of the for $11.95. If I hadn’t been reviewing it, I would have bought it. If you are in the neighborhood for a sewing kit that you can use at home or on trips then this may be for you!
