Wow is it already 2015? How did you all survive the 2014 Holidays? I survived, but it was hard for me to really get into the spirit of things this year.
2014 was such a rough year for me. So many hard changes that just went from extreme to extremer. In the midst of it all I have learned more about myself and have proceeded to move on. It is really time to leave any negative of 2014 and focus on the positive as I take on this new year.
One thing that didn’t disappoint me in 2014 was the food. I experienced many great meals between the USA and the Republic of Panama. Sometimes too good. Just ask my waist line! Among those meals were also snacks. Some that was great for me and some that was best in moderation. Is it just me, or is thing things that’s best in moderation, always something I want past moderation?
For example I tried out some chocolates. Or shall I say John & I tried out chocolates. Whenever those come in the door, John takes them over and passes them out. Simply because he has the control when it comes to stuff like that. I don’t. This one particular chocolate I tried out was from a company called, Mrs.Cavanaugh’s Famous Chocolates.
This chocolate is an experience I would like to carry over with me into the New Year. Since I am really focusing on my health right now, it isn’t something I can have everyday. But I am not eliminating anything from my diet. That includes chocolate. I want to live life and enjoy it. That is why this is something I will buy for John for special occasions. Valentines day (which is just over a month away) – Easter- Birthday etc.
If you would like to read more about the company that is behind this famous chocolate, check out my post here.
It is funny how chocolate can really get the brain focused and more positive.
Maybe 2014 wasn’t all that bad after all. There is some things that happened in 2014 that I will carry with me the rest of my life. Memories that nobody can ever take from me or control. Things like going to the movies (3 in one day) with my mom. Laughing and just forgetting the rest of the world. That is more precious to me then any possession she owned and it will always be mine.
Sitting on the back porch with John having coffee and reading a book. Never speaking a word but feeling loved.
Tarzan, my bad boy. The one that I couldn’t bring back physically with me to USA, but also the one that I left with not only one family that wanted him – but 3.
And the list can go on and on……
I will continue to bring you more posts on the positives of 2014 and also all the great things happening in 2015. It going to be a jam packed year full of products and life experiences. Thank you to all my readers that stay faithful and helps to keep me keeping on!
And a Big thank you to Mrs. Cavanaugh for sending me a lb of chocolate and a load of positivity!
What kind of positive experiences are you carrying over with you into 2015?
disclaimer: I received a lb box of chocolate to try out before writing this post. All opinions in this post are 100% my own and may or may not differ from yours.
