Do you like to bake but hate guessing the temperature of your food? I don’t claim to be a cook, but I have done some baking in my 43 years. I am constantly opening and closing the oven door just to stick something in my food to see if it “looks” done. What I didn’t realize was that every time I open the oven door, I am letting the heat escape which messes with my oven temperature.
Now I have found a tool that helps me cook meat to the perfect temperature WITHOUT me opening and closing that oven door. It is called Measupro Programmable Cooking Thermometer. It is simple to use. You can get 4 settings. Rare, medium, medium rare & well done.
Stick the long 36 inch probe into the center of the food, slide the alert button on the side screen, and close the oven door. The thermometer probe’s cable diameter is small enough to allow it to be closed in an oven door without creating a heat leak. It has and extra wide measuring range of 32°F to 392°F. Reading are accurate and precise so you can rely on it. Features a LCD display with large size digits. MeasuPro is intent on reducing worries… and flopped dinners!
This does use 3 AAA batteries, but the batteries will last quite a while due to it automatically shutting on and off. I was glad to see that since I am sometimes forgetful with a part lazy when it comes to shutting things off.
This also has stored inside 15 USDA temperatures for several meats.
The bottom line is this does exactly what it says it does along with a lot of perks, such as the alarms- the magnetic backside for the fridge, the long cord, the fact that it saves you a lot of running to check on your food. This is something I would recommend for anyone that loves to cook.
