I like to try out new beauty products. While I do have my own that I normally go back to, it is always interesting trying out new things from time to time. The same is true when it comes to my beauty routine. I have my own, but I am not against reading what other people suggests or recommends.
Don’t get me wrong. Beauty is not always everything. I have seen some of the most beautiful people with the best skin, that proved the saying “Beauty is only skin deep” right.
Still I enjoy trying to learn and be the best I can on the inside and the outside.
I was invited to review a book called the Skin Regime, Boot Camp For Beautiful Skin, written by Dana Ramos. This cute book, short read of only 125 pages. It can be read in one sitting. After reading it, my opinion is that Dana does know a thing or two about beauty on the outside.
In this book you will find 6 parts.
Part one is a basic intro to her view point on skin regime. *The book was, however, fully technically advised by a renowned dermatologist–Dr. David Bank of New York–and all info the book has his seal of approval as medically valid. It explains what a skin regime is, myths about it, who should follow one.. Mainly she answers any question you may have on skin regime in general.
After she goes through the basics in part 2 you will find out more about the Bootcamp itself. In this part you are going to learn all about peels. In fact she sells her own peels on her website that she directs you to quite a bit.
Part 3 is more after you have learned about peels and maintaining your new skin.
Part 4 will lead you to places that you are starting to enjoy your new skin.. Advice about makeup and even more tips and info. She will teach you about dark circles, red eyes and even teeth.
Part 5 leads you beyond things you can do at home.. To things like laser, lifts, lipos meds and other things. The things I call the scary stuff!
Finally she is going to take you to the leftover parts below your neck in part 6. Problem areas such as rough elbows and knees. Necks and more!
At the end of the book you will find a shopping list. While I will not give you spoilers, I will tell you that optional items on the list are things that you may only be able to get with a drs prescription. Again she will lead you to her website for resources.
Dana in fact starts the book with a foreword from her own dermatologist. She also has several people that has read her book and liked it leave comments about the book, front and back.
She has asked me to share my opinions of the book – my unbiased honest opinion of it.
I feel that Dana knows what she is talking about and I have learned a lot about beauty and skin care through this book. It is well worth the read!
In fact you can read the first chapter of this book HERE for free
Disclaimer: I was sent this book and a small sample of the peel in exchange for sharing my opinion of it with my readers. All opinions are 100% my own and may or may not differ from yours
