Do you like Bento Boxes?

Bento Boxes have seemed to take the world by storm.  Or at least on my Facebook & Pinterest feeds.  I guess that is because they are so convenient and nice to use.

For people that hasn’t heard of Bento, they are different sized containers.  Normally with different sections and a lid.  I think the most common uses of them are for children’s lunches.  There is far more uses.

My main problem with the Bento box is the prices.  Some places really charge sky high prices.

I was wanting some more but didn’t want to pay too much for them.  Then I seen the Sunsella Bento style lunchboxes.  While I didn’t’ want a cheap rip off, I trusted the Sunsella brand.  I had used products of theirs in the past and was happy with the quality of their items.

I was not disappointed with this set of 4 boxes in vibrant cheerful colors.

The brightly colored lids fit the boxes well.  In fact I could put items such as pudding or cottage cheese and not worry about having it seep out the lid or the lid coming off altogether.

While these dishwasher safe containers are great for preparing the typical sandwich and chip lunches, I found they are also great in helping me to moderate my weekly snack sizes.  I could add fresh fruit, veggies, crackers etc. in each box and have them available between meals.  This was so much better then grabbing a full bag of something and ending up eating my serving size and 2 other peoples.  Or being able grab that fresh pineapple or sliced apple that I may not take due to time it takes to peel, slice or dice.  With these I can take a few minutes on Sunday afternoon to prepare my fruits and veggies and divide.

I have to say something.  While I stated that these hasn’t leaked so far on me.  The description of the product claims to be child proof with easy open lids – but not leak proof.

I did say they were dishwasher safe, as well as microwave safe.  I also like the fact that they are stackable and save on me having to use sandwich bags, aluminum foil or plastic wrap.
