Do you agree with the following statement?

“I like to make learning fun for my children”.

If you agree & have a child, then you will probably like to learn more about this game, uKloo

uKloo is a reading game for early readers age 4 and up.

The makers of this game has designed it to be like a treasure hunt.  And who doesn’t like a good treasure hunt?  What the child doesn’t realize that while he/she is seeking these hidden words, he/she is learning.

Inside the game box you will find a poster

You will also find a deck of cards

The poster is great for helping with sight reading, introducing first research skills and offers basic sentence structure.

The cards will help with word repetition for visual recognition.

There is 3 different levels of cards.  The “adult” decides which cards to use.  Sometimes it is fun to sneak in a mixture of cards to keep the kids on their toes.

They also choose a fun surprise for the end of the game.  Once all this is decided, the game can begin.  This alternative to sitting at a table reading a book, will get those future couch potatoes off their seats and get physical.  They will use the poster and the cards to find the the surprise waiting for them at the end of the hunt.

If they are having trouble with the cards they can also get a free hint that they can come back to.

Yes, this game does get the parent a bit physical as well, since they are in charge of placing each card that will take your little reader aka treasure hunter on their hunt.  But it is so worth it IMO.

I think the team that put this game together knew what they were doing.  Where else can you find,  learning, physical activity, surprises and fun all mixed up in one?

I think this will be a great item to put under the tree this year.  What do you think?
