I don’t claim to be a cook. I can hold my own when it comes to southern cooking, but watching any cooking show with fancy dishes, I get lost. I still watch those cooks in awe. Especially Masterchef Junior. Those little kids can sometimes come up with dishes better then the adults do on the adult version of the same show.
I guess if I had to say I have taken one thing away from Chef Ramsey and the other cooks, it is to season season season! Just one seasoning can really change the flavor of a dish and make it a winner. So now when I cook, I try to create my own flavor profiles and I do that with different spices.
One spice I have had the pleasure of working with this past month is Paprika. Not just any paprika though. This paprika is from Kiva and comes in two different flavors. Hot smoked and sweet smoked.
Which you use is totally up to you and how you are feeling when you are creating your culinary masterpiece.
Use paprika on Beef, pork, poultry and seafood! You can also use it on side dishes such as potatoes, deviled eggs and rice!

Hot Smoked Paprika Deep, rich, slightly spicy flavor
Personally I enjoyed it. It did give a small kick, but that is something I love.
