How to have a better day. List to improve your life.

I have a sweet small list for you to start the day with today.  No matter what you are attempting to do today give some of these things a try!

  1. One thing at a time

Whatever you are attempting to do.  Wether it is declutter your home.  Start a new diet.  Start a new project.  Remember to stick to one thing at a time.  I am so bad at starting something and thinking about something else that needs done.  Next thing I know I am working on 4 things and nothing gets done.

2.  Things don’t move themselves

This is so true.  If you sit in the chair instead of getting up and going to the gym, then your never going to make it there.  If you don’t start cleaning out that junk drawer then at the end of the day that junk is going to be there.

3.  Breathe, don’t run.  (unless your on the treadmill)

Don’t get anxious.  Don’t get overwhelmed. It will be okay.  If you go at something like you are fighting fire then chances are your going to either not do it right or your going to panic and not get it finished.  Slow and steady wins the race.

4.  Declutter your body/mind

I wish I was better at meditation.  I am not suggesting you go out and do yoga but if you could just take 10 minutes to close your eyes and think of something calming… just have some private space.  You know what relaxes you.  Work it in your day somewhere.  Even if you have to set the clock 15 minutes earlier in the morning.

5.  Look at what you just did

Realize what you do and give yourself credit for it!  Don’t wait around for compliments from someone else.  You may be waiting a long time!  As long as you know what you did then pat your self on the back and be proud!

6.  Let the phone ring

You don’t have to always answer that phone.  Set disctint rings for your immediate family and just ignore the other ones.  That’s what voice mail is for.  You wouldn’t jump and stop what you was doing if someone was sitting on your couch or door step with a bell would you?  I would be irritated.  Friends will understand.

7.  Find support

We all need friends sometimes to just to vent to.  To give us that “You can do it” “Your great with a side of awesomesauce” speech.  Surround yourselves with people that enrich your life!
