Halloween Mini Microbes

Wow is it already almost Halloween AGAIN?   You can keep reading.  I promise I am not telling the story about when I went trick or treating as a ghost and my Mom made me wear my glasses over the sheet.  Okay I have to say it,  all I heard that night from other kids was “Hey, look at the ghost with glasses!”  But as I said,  I am not here to talk about that.

I just wanted to give you a more modern idea for Halloween this year.  It is 2014 and there is a couple reasons traditional Halloween customs isn’t safe.  #1 being that your neighbors aren’t always so neighborly.  We never know what kids are really going to get when they smile and give them that sweet treat.  #2 our health.  I love candy as much as the next person, but in this day we have realized that those delicious sweets lead to declining health and help bring on a couple diseases that millions of Americans suffer from:  Obesity & Diabetes.  Yes there is more but those are the top 2 that I hear about often.  Of course the dentists LOVE this time of year.  They don’t mind filling those cavities and doing the dental work.  As this post wasn’t about my ghost with glasses costume, it is also NOT about sugar and diseases.

This post is about something I found, that will be fun for the kids, create lasting memories and will not lead to obesity, cavities or diabetes.

As you all may remember me working with a company called Giant Microbes in the past,  I teamed up with them again this Halloween season so that I could share with my readers a few items they have that would delight any kid and really most adults!

See the cute pumpkin box?  Can you guess what is in it?  Here is a hint:

Trick or Treat with Anthrax adorning a witch’s hat, Flesh Eating with spooky, fake fangs, orange Amoeba with black mask, Black Death embroidered with a skull and crossbones, and Ebola costumed as Frankenstein with stitched mouth and neck bolts!

These items are so cute and sure to be a hit.  Younger kids can let their imaginations run wild by creating hours of fantasy.  These are also a good way to teach children about some of these diseases.  Halloween is all about being scared and some of these diseases is more scarier to me then haunted houses and things that go bump in the night.

So, what am I suggesting?  Go to your favorite store and buy your children treats that you know is safe, something you want them to have.  Let them dress up at home, have friends over , watch scary movies and give them a box of Halloween Mini Microbes.  I think the memories created in doing this will be priceless!

disclaimer:  I did receive free items to sample and review before writing this post.  all opinions are 100% my own and may or may not differ from yours. I only give my honest opinions and thoughts when talking about a product
