A great way to get rid of rodents

A great way to get rid of rodents

I live out in the country. One of the things that the country brings is the pesky field mice.  While I love animals, I do not like the mess that rodents leave.  The diseases they carry.  So when it comes to mice, I am willing to do what I can to get rid of them, and make sure they won’t be back.

Now with the weather turning cooler, we are going to be dealing with even more mice.  They ignore the 5 cats and come on in and make themselves at home.  This year I will have a surprise waiting for them!

This surprise is something that may be of interest to you as well.  It doesn’t matter if you are in the country or the city.  Remember the country mouse and the city mouse?  They are everywhere!

I was able to test out something called a Rodent Zapper.  This is something that takes care of pesky rodents once and for all.  This item works quickly so I don’t feel it is inhumane.

This is a black box that uses either batteries or AC power.

It is simple to use.  Make sure it is off.  Put some bait in it.  Bread, cheese etc.  Place the zapper against a wall.  Turn it on and wait.  Once you have caught something there will be an alarm and a flashing light.  Turn power off and remove rodent.

Right now my husband has this out in his garage.  There is a mouse that keeps getting in his toolboxes.  He is determined to get rid of it and I think this is the best way.

What is my opinion of it?  I think it is brilliant.  It serves a need and a purpose.  To me it is better then traps that may catch the mouse, but a lot of times just provides fun for the mouse to steal the cheese and you find an empty trap.  Or even the mouse get caught and lay half way a live.  Even they don’t deserve that.   Same as those sticky things.  What do you do with a live mouse stuck on a plate of glue?

My only suggestion is keeping this away from children and pets.  Both are curious and this wouldn’t be fun for them to grab a hold of.  We have the cats and dogs.  Mice can get anywhere so it doesn’t matter if you put it behind something or barricade it from the pets and children.

This zapper comes with Mains adapter to save on using batteries.  Plus and LED Wire  for when you use in hard to see places.  Instructions are easy and support is provided from the friendly people of Pest no more.
