Sunday June 21st is the first day of summer this year (2015). Do you have any plans yet? If not it is about time you make them! create your own story this summer
Remember it is the small things in life we are going to remember. We can go on big trips. We can spend money on fancy things. But I know I can sit and think back and it is the small things that I remember and cherish the most.
Ice cream cones when they were 25 cents at McDonalds. I think that was 1982. Sitting outside on the porch reading a book.
May I suggest that your plans include the small stuff?
Need some help thinking of things to do?
Here is some suggestions.
1.Have a picnic. This doesn’t have to be fancy. Just a blanket on the lawn with your family and your regular lunch.
2. Go on a Road Trip. Where you go is up to you. Fill up the car, load it up and drive around the town you live in. Discover new things that you didn’t know was near your home. Don’t forget to turn the radio up and roll down the windows.
3. Have a bonfire. There is nothing more fun then starting a fire safely in your front yard. Grab a bag of marshmallows and tell stories.
4. Be a kid. Don’t care what people think! Be care free and buy yourself a bottle of bubbles. Run through the sprinklers.
5. Read a Book outside. There is nothing more relaxing then taking a blanket outside and laying in the sun, reading a good book. It is sometimes hard to unplug the computer, but it is relaxing after we do it.
Whatever your summer holds. ENJOY.
