While I don’t use vinegar and oil everyday, there is a few things I like it on. While I love regular salad dressings, French being my favorite, I do know that vinegar and oil is better for me. Another thing I have to have vinegar in the house for is Kale. John makes our kale Dutch style.
When we buy it the first thing he does is put it in a plastic bag and puts it in the freezer.
Once froze he smashes it to where it is in small pieces
He then cooks it, together with potatoes.
He then does something that the Dutch calls Stamp pot. Potatoes and kale are literally smashed and mixed together. He serves this with sausages.
Adding a generous amount of vinegar makes this dish perfect for both of us.
We used to use a bottle for the vinegar, but lately we have been using something from a company called Skenda. These oil and vinegar bottles are tall clear glass bottles with stainless steel lids. Each marked with either oil or vinegar. What makes these different is how the oil and vinegar is dispensed. They actually spray. It sprays a fine mist of oil and vinegar and this gives you more control on the amount you are using.
My only complaint with them is I wish I had found them sooner!
These are really well made and I was/am impressed with them.
