Don’t forget to fill the gas tank hunny.

Today John & I decided to go out to the grocery.  I had plans on staying in today.

Back up to yesterday.  On the way home from lunch I noticed our gas tank was running low.  I stuck a sticky note as a reminder to get gas next time we went out.

Half way to Krogers, John says he forgot the gas.  My reply was, I should’ve somehow reminded you. (see above picture)

We have enough to make it to the gas station.  What we wasn’t planning on was the fact that the gas tank wouldn’t open.  We thought it might be froze shut but no matter what we tried we couldn’t get it.  At this point we had about 13 miles worth of gas left.

Since Krogers was right across the street we went on and picked up what we needed from the store and went on to the shop.  When we got to the shop we had this much gas left:

The guy from the shop came out and looked at it, decided a spring was broke on the gas door lock and got it to at least open for us.  Then handed us the bill for the part.  One of our largest bills from there. $2.19.

They ordered us a new spring and we were lucky there was a gas station next door.

We go back Friday to have the spring put on, but was relieved when we seen this!

So that was the highpoint of my day.  How was yours????
