This is the definition that came up when I googled the word “Discouraged”.
Why am I googling such a depressing word? Because it is an emotion. It is real, and sadly in this day and age it happens more then we would want it to. Can you remember the last time you became discouraged? What happened? How did you get through it?
If you notice the 1 definition there says Cause to lose confidence or enthusiasm. Just remember (and I remind myself this daily), That just because something/someone has caused you to lose confidence or enthusiasm doesn’t mean that that stuff isn’t there.
Let’s remember with every problem there is a solution. Just because we give up on hope doesn’t mean all hope is dead. We just have to go a different route to achieve what we were so enthusiastic about to begin with.
I bet if we turned those signs around we would find the word Optimistic. Another emotion that is there, someone I strive to be. It isn’t easy. You just about have to live in a plastic bubble to be this. But it can be done!!!
I have no idea why I am writing this post. I am just trying to look at both side of the coin. I am trying to see everything is not negative. Just because things doesn’t always fall into place like we want them to, doesn’t mean it’s the end of the world. RIght?
I think if we can take one thing from this post it would be to not see all good or all bad in something. Look for the good let that be your motivation. Work on turning the bad into something good.
And when all else fails…..
GO SHOPPING! Retail therapy is great, as long as you aren’t using the bill money haha.
