Different types of Hairbrushes

Different types of Hairbrushes

There is so many hair brushes out there and each one is a bit different.  Gone is the days of having one brush that we all used before heading out to start the day.

If you Google you will find all kinds of them for different uses.

Synthetic Bristles

Natural Bristles

Mixed Bristles

Paddle brushes

Vented brushes

Round brush

Teasing Brush

Some of these are great for helping to bring out your hairs natural oils, while others are wonderful for detangling purposes.  Some are used to style and some are great for just bringing out that natural shine.

I have been using one made from Boar Bristles.  This brush is perfect for people (like me) that has dry hair.  It will bring out the natural oil from root to end of hair.

The one I have been using is from Arabella Brushes and it is 100% Boar bristles.  While these brushes can get pricey, this one is available on Amazon for $14.99.  I don’t think this is too bad.  I say this because I have been using it and can see how nice it is made.

It has a nice handle  that will last quite a while.

I carry this in my purse due to my hair tangling so easy.  While I have long thick hair, this brush sometimes won’t go through it first thing in the morning.  I usually use a synthetic bristle brush first and then I have this one to brush with through out the day.

I love mine and am glad to have found it.

Who would have thought that each brush could change the hair results.  I do have one tip for someone that isn’t used to using a boar bristle brush.  DO NOT use it on wet hair.  This will cause hair breakage.  Use a comb or synthetic brush until hair is dry.
