Ceramic Knives helped make Christmas Dinner Easier

The holidays are coming to the end.  We have all shopped until we dropped, or maybe I should say, we have shopped for everybody else until we dropped.  A lot of people are happy, some people can never be.  Either way, if you are reading this post- You have made it through Christmas 2015.

How did I survive Christmas this year?  It wasn’t easy.  One of the main things I did, was do most of my shopping online.  Fed Ex, UPS Drivers & the mail men seen me faithfully this season.

My family is easy to buy for, or most of them.  Most have wish lists at various sites or they are just vocal about that they want.  So I was able to go to the wish lists and while I may not have bought everything on them, I was able to see the stuff that was in their interest range so they could be surprised.

Then there was a few gifts that was just strictly from the heart.  This was the case with the photo collage blanket I had made for my sister.  It was made up with an assortment of pictures of our Mom and at the top was written “My Mom, My Angel”.

All in All everyone seemed to be happy.

Cooking was also a simple meal in my household this year.  I  baked a ham and along with it I served Baked Beans, Macaroni salad & Rolls.  For dessert there was a coconut cream pie.  It went well I think.

I know cooking is always easier when you have the right tools.  For instance the simple things such as the knives that is available can really make a difference.  Normally I have a paring knife on hand.  This year I was able to use a set of knives that was sent to me for reviewing.

I knew when I seen them they were nice ones.  But the proof was when I actually used them.  The ones I am talking about is the Elegana 10 piece ceramic knives.  This set of knives has a 3” paring knife, 4 inch fruit knife, 5” santoku ceramic knife and a 6” chef knife.  They all come with blade covers, a ceramic peeler and a cleaning cloth.

I had always used the stainless steel knives and they did alright.  But these ceramic ones are nice to look at, quality and just make slicing, dicing and cutting so much simpler.  That onion didn’t know what hit it!

So to sum it up…..

I shopped until I dropped.

Made things easier on myself by shopping online and using wish lists

sent gifts from the heart

and last but not least

made cooking easier by using a good set of knives.

How was your Christmas this year???

Disclaimer:  One of the products discussed in this post was sent to me in exchange for sharing my opinions of it with you all.  My opinions are always my own and may or may not differ from yours.
