Auld Lang Syne. 2012 coming to an end.

Tomorrow.  The start of a new year.  365 pages in a blank book, waiting for you to write the story of you in them.

Right now at this time tomorrow today  will be yesterday.. The past.  Last year even.

As the words in a popular song will be played over and over many times tonight will we listen to them.  The song I am talking about is “Auld Lang Syne”.  A popular scottish song that translates to basically “times gone by, remembering friends from the past and not letting them be forgotten.

Auld Lang Syne

How about this year instead of making a lot of resolutions, that we make one promise to ourselves instead?  That promise would be to take all the good times, memories and things we learned in 2012 and carry them over to 2013.

Just keep moving forward.

On that first page of your blank book write down all the good things you learned and experienced.  If we are just going to keep starting over year after year then it kind of makes the book useless doesn’t it?  Maybe I am getting too deep for myself here LoL

But that is what I intend to do.

Focus on the good that came out of 2012.  Carry it with me into the new year.  Set goals and work on them daily.  Not resolutions.

This will be my last post of 2012.  I have many things to share and talk about with you in 2013 so please keep reading.  I am grateful the Mayan’s got it wrong, now I will have plenty of time to get my thoughts out (no matter how random they might be).
