5 tips for wearing makeup in humid weather!

It has been 90 degrees here the last few days.  Not only is it HOT but it is humid.  As a matter of fact, the news lady said tonight, that the keywords for the next few days will be HOT & Muggy.  That is not the keywords I would like to use to describe the days!  I rather stay inside in the air conditioner, and pretend it’s cold.  I know we can’t all do that.  There is going to be some reason come up that we have to go out.

When we do go out in the humidity do we just go out without makeup?  Or do we still try and look our best?  I tend to sweat so easy as does many of us on days like this.  That is why I wanted to share a few things you can do to help weather proof your makeup in this humidity.

Rub your face down with an ice cube

before applying makeup.  This will give your face a cooling effect and makeup will go on better.  It will also feel good too!

Use waterproof makeup

There is all kinds of waterproof eye and lip makeup that you can purchase.  Mineral makeup is great for staying on and not melting in the humidity.

Use Primer

Prime your eyes, prime your face and be sure it is a primer that doesn’t contain oil.

Use a lip stain

.  If you don’t have waterproof lipstick available use lip stain.  This will keep your lipstick in place for hours.

Carry powder

.  It may be that you need to just blot your face during the day and apply a mineral powder.  It may that you want to just use a powder instead of liquid foundations on these hot days.

Do you have any makeup tips for the hot humid days?
