3 Simple Shopping tips.

Do you have any special routines for when you go shopping?  Any helpful hints?

In these times we really have to take special precautions just to go to the store and pick up a loaf of bread.  One of the first things I suggest everyone do is look to see if the store has sanitary wipes by the carts.  You won’t believe all the germs that pass from on person to the next just on a shopping cart.  Just wiping the handles on the cart might just prevent a cold!

Another thing they have out now is Cart covers.  These run cheap and come in a variety of designs and colors.  If you have young ones that sits in the front of the cart, this is a must have.  I know mass marketers everywhere is carrying them. To just mention a few of the big ones- Toys R Us, Walmart & Target.  Most can be used in highchairs as well.  This  is also perfect for protecting your little ones when dining out.  They are also machine washable.

Not only do we have to watch out for germs while out another thing we should watch out for is other people.  Now I don’t mean to come off as paranoid but in this day and time there is a thief around most corners.  I don’t have children so normally I throw my purse up in the front of the cart.  What I lately have started doing is taking the seat belt on the cart and putting it through the strap of my purse and buckling it.  This makes it harder for someone to just walk by and grab it out of my cart.  Of course if someone came up to me and wanted the purse I wouldn’t fight them for it.  But this just makes it harder on the sneaky ones.

It will be bad enough on Black Friday and that day should have it’s own set of rules.  I am not sure I would take my kids or my purse to the store on that day!

Sometimes it’s the small simple things right in front of us that will help us more then we realize.
